Our logo symbolizes the strength and beauty found in collaboration, reflecting the belief that "two heads are better than one." In an ever-evolving research landscape, early and mid-career researchers (ECRs and MCRs) face significant challenges transitioning to research independence, with a sharp drop in successfully funded fellowships and grants. Recognizing this gap, we have united with ECRs and MCRs to co-develop a solution that fosters community support and resilience.

Sharing Knowledge

The saying that two heads are better than one is depicted by the 6 human icons sharing one common head, the hub. This shows how the hub empowers all with the same knowledge and funding to drive research.

Figures

The 6 body figures represent the inclusiveness of the hub. Each body representing a Malawi's Public University, 6 in total

The intertwining shapes in our logo represent people and the diverse voices and experiences within our network, emphasizing our commitment to inclusivity and equity. Each curve reflects a journey of triumph over obstacles, embodying our mission to empower researchers across Malawi and the wider SADC region. Together, we are not just overcoming barriers—we are celebrating community, fostering growth, and paving the way for future generations of researchers. Our logo is a testament to our shared vision and collective strength in the pursuit of knowledge and discovery.
