College of Experts

College of Experts

The College of Experts (CoE) is a distinguished assembly of accomplished researchers and professionals who possess a proven track record in securing grant funding and participating in grant review boards and managing grants at local, regional, and international levels. This collective of experts is carefully curated by The Discovery Hub Steering Group, which nominates potential members based on their qualifications and contributions from partner institutions and networks.

Members of the CoE serve on a pro bono basis, reflecting the spirit of collaboration found in the broader research community, where the sharing of expertise is paramount. Their commitment to fostering a culture of mentorship not only enhances the exchange of knowledge but also cultivates a deep sense of responsibility for nurturing future generations of researchers. By prioritizing collaboration and generosity, CoE members contribute to a vibrant ecosystem that supports innovative ideas and impactful research, ensuring that the next wave of scholars is well-equipped to tackle the challenges of tomorrow. This ethos of giving back reinforces the importance of community in advancing science and scholarship, ultimately benefiting society.

The CoE is a vital resource for Early Career Researchers (ECRs) and Mid-Career Researchers (MCRs) as part of the Hub's activities, providing guidance, support, and insights.

Additionally, we facilitate an annual virtual meeting for CoE members, creating an opportunity for sharing experiences, discussing lessons learned, and fostering engagement within our expert community. This collaborative forum will also support peer review processes, enhancing the quality and competitiveness of research proposals within our network (see Webinar schedule for next meeting)
